8th Graders Moving up to High School
ASU Prep Poly STEM 7th grade families received exciting news last week - as 8th graders next year, they will attend school at the Poly STEM High School. Our current K-8 campus will serve grades K-7, and the high school campus will serve grades 8-12. Not only will the change benefit the growth of both of our Poly school sites, but it will also broaden the opportunities and pathways for our 8th grade classes. Students will have access to our new high school science and STEM labs for more research-based learning among other opportunities.
Families interested in learning more about this campus conversion are invited to our 8th Grade Parent Information Night on December 4, 2018 at the Poly STEM High School from 6 to 7 p.m. Please RSVP by clicking here. We will highlight more of the great opportunities we believe the new model will create for student success. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour our high school campus and ask questions of our site directors, Claudia Mendoza and Chrystal Keller, as well as the ASU Prep Leadership team.
Another Summative is in the Books - Thanks to everyone who came to our 6-8 Summative last week, it was the best turnout ever - what a difference a free dress day makes. :) We're so appreciative of the support you give to take time out of your busy schedules to attend school events. our students work very hard each and every day and it's gratifying for them to be able to showcase some of their hard work.
The Holiday Boutique was also a huge success! We have so many talented and creative people in our ASU Prep Family, this is a great way to support their small businesses as well as support our school.
Ugly Holiday Sweater Day - Friday, December 21st is the last day of school for this semester, and the Student Council has voted to make it an Ugly Holiday Sweater Day (uniform bottoms are required). Dig in your closets or get your glue gun and baubles ready for an ugly day at ASU Prep!
